Physical control for Bass/Treble A2+?

Hey all, I have a question I can't seem to find an answer to by just searching around.

I picked up the AudioEngine A2+ speakers the other day along with a Pioneer sub, the 8W-MK2 I think it was.

Now the issue is when I turn it up loud the lows start to come out distorted on the A2+ but I get the bass I want from the Pioneer and the lows/mids from the A2+'s.

I want to know if there is any way to manually/physically turn down the lower frequencies of the A2+'s so that I can have the Pioneer handle them instead.

Is there maybe an amp that would give me seperate control of the A2+ and the Pioneer?

Let me know, thank you!!!

you can use a software EQ. I don't think you can handle speakers like that though..

That's kind of disappointing, I guess I'll try playing around with an EQ.
