---

this is a build i organized for my younger brother (hes not familiar with pc building at all so he asked me for help, its his first pc). hes not much of a heavy gamer, mainly plays fortnite / fall guys / rocket league and such but hes also going to need it for internet browsing and schoolwork too

some of the parts (like the ssd, cpu cooler, ram modules and cpu) are either identical or similar to my build which i completed and ordered from a local store (who built it for me, and will build this one too) about a month ago. my experience with them has been great and im not willing to risk assembling everything by myself instead

i already know the 12400 is the bang for the $ for gaming these days and 16 gigs of ram is enough for him, though the only thing im uncertain about is the motherboard. built in wifi is an extremely important feature to have included for him since he doesnt have an ethernet port in his room and none can be installed. otherwise ill be going for a cheap wifi aftermarket adapter. a beefy motherboard isnt something that hed need either

id like to hear any feedbacks about the build, more specifically on the motherboard and if its a good enough pick. thanks in advance

Looks fine, how's the price of a 6600xt? Should easily outperfrom a 1660ti. Id also look for cheaper storage options like a wd blue which tend to be a bit lowr priced then a samsung..

I'd also look at a bit nicer boards like the msi pro b660m-a and b660m x ax which are usually a bit "lower end" boards that are very solid for the price

6600xt would be 1800 nis (~530 usd) comparing to a 1180 nis (~350 usd) on a 1660 ti 6gb from gigabyte (taxes included). for storage ill check the wd options i have available and will try to stick to nvme

as for the motherboard i already own a b660m gaming x ddr4 (non ax) and i know its good, but i feel as if its a little too much of an overkill for my brother. ill probably still stick to the b660m gaming ac

edit: as for wd sn750 1tb (nvme), its not even close to a samsung 980 1tb (nvme) in price. upwards of 200 nis (close to 70 usd) price increase between the two so im definitely sticking to samsung with the ssd
