Hello everyone :)

I am new to this forum even thought I follow linus tech tips youtube channel for a looong time :D

Now to the point !

I want to upgrade my PC this summer, because it is getting kinda old !

At the moment I have :

- CPU : AMD Athlon II x4 640 @ 3.00 GHz

- MOBO : MSI 890GXM-G65

- GPU : nVidia GTS 450 1 GB GDDR5

- RAM : 6 GB ( 3 x 2 GB) @ 1333 MHz

- PSU : Silverstone Strider Essential 400 W

- Case : Silverstone PS05-B Precision (it supports ATX and micro-ATX boards)

I am planning to change my GPU and my CPU !

For the GPU I am going to buy nVidia GTX 750 Ti from ASUS or MSI .

For the CPU I have 2 options :

- 1. Option is to get AMD FX-8320, since I have AM3+ MOBO.

- 2. Option is to get new FM2+ MOBO (this one for example : http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/A88XPLUS/) and AMD Athlon II x4 760K !

I am more attracted to option No. 2 since AM3/AM3+ is dead if I am not wrong ? So it is kinda better investment ?

Which option is better ? Do you have any tips for me ? What would you do ?

The budget is around 450 $ -> NOTE: I am from small country from Europe in which pc parts are sometimes more expensive than in the USA or Canada !

Thanks in advance :)

FM2+ with the 760K is a better option as that is becoming more of the standered with AMD, and the GTX 750TI from MSI will look nicer in a completed Build and will perform great.

What's the system being used for?

Be more specific--Europe is much too broad of a region.

What's your actual budget? Don't use dollars if you're not using dollars.

what about a bios update?

It works just fine with an updated bios.

I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina, small country close to Italy !

The PC will be used for gaming, video recording, editing and programming  !

My budget in € is tops 320 € !

@bronsonp4htdude123455

I am getting GTX 750 Ti mostly because of Shadow Play and low TDP ! (I won't have to change my PSU ! )
