As the title says.

Would this ever be possible? If it is...holy balls imagine the speeds *droooooooooooool*

But from what the sata express connector looks like, it seems as though it's already some pseudo raid array mixed with some pci-e lanes. (sources: OC3D & wiki. so correct me if I'm wrong)

But m.2 on the other hand...  Actually, m.2 is apparently derived from sata express so....yeah....

Thoughts?

  1. PCIe HDDs are running raid internally
  2. Just use 2 of those cards, get rid of the integrated RAID (i read about it somewhere, you can access them some way or another) and set up a software RAID

it's a bit of tinkering in case of PCIe HDDs but it will work.

 

The same goes for NGFF SSDs.
