Hello all. I currently have a 212 EVO on my 3770k and am looking to upgrade my CPU cooler. Any liquid cooler is out of the question, and a Noctua nh-d14 will not fit inside my case (Corsair Carbide 300r windowed). Will a Darkrock 3 pro fit? I am looking to obtain 4.5-4.6 GHz and the EVO just doesn't cut it (Currently at 4.1). Thanks for all of your help.

I don't know why a Corsair H80i wouldn't fit. Seems like a better option than a enormous heatsink.

Remove the exhaust fan, mount the radiator, then mount the exhaust fan to the rad.

It also looks like you could fit an H100i on the roof.

I don't like the look of Noctuas. I know that they are best, but to match my current red + black color scheme, would a dark rock 3 or 3 pro work and fit inside my case?

The 300R has a clearance of 170mm, both the NH-D14 and the Dark Rock Pro 3 will fit.

Why not AIO? Yes, reliability is problem, but if you cant fit large heatsink... h80i is the solution

Because H80i performs worse than most decent air coolers. Noctua NH-U14s for example.

Get the U14s, or dark rock pro 3 if it fits. Honestly though I think you should get a noctua, I used to hate the way they look but it grows on you. Now I love seeing it in my case! I also have a 3770k@4.6 with it.

Well depends on fan config. But they are there-there. Just with stock fans on max, 1.35 4.4ghz h80i wins.

Even on "Balanced" its still really close. Its better just to replace fan :D its too loud

If the NH-D14 isn't going to fit, neither will the u14s which is 5mm taller.
