jellyfin server

Hii to all, i installed jellyfin server on pop_os and its working, but i cant add my movie library to it because when i specify the path to: home/myusername it doesnt see any of my folders like downloads, videos, music etc.. can someone help me with this pls, tnx in advance

Yes, i made directory named movies in downloads and i would like to add that folder to server..

And how did you install the server? What are your permissions on the media folders?

I installed it using this video:

and i copied commands from this page: https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/administration/installing.html

 

but i dont know about permissions, how could i check that?

I guess with sudo permission..

Just to notify if someone runs into same problem, i solved it with this command:

sudo chmod -R 755 /home/narutouzumaki 

and also i did: sudo chmod -R 755 /home/narutouzumaki/movies

("narutouzumaki" is my username folder..)
