fTPM vs dTPM 2.0

Go to solution Solved by WereCat,

fTPM is tied to the PC and TPM module is removable... so if there is a software vulnerability on the CPU let's say, you need to either hope for a fix or get a new CPU assuming the new on fits your motherboard and does not have this vulnerability.

TPM module is removable so the keys stay on that if you remove it and the PC will stay safe... but not really as TPM is not that much secure in the first place.

So it doesent really matter that much which route you go on a personal PC.
