No POST (black screen, no beep)

Hi,

 

I do not get any output when turning on the pc.

 

Mainboard: X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI (ITX)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 1.35V

 

I updated the BIOS using the mainboards Q-Flash function, and it seems to have done sth (the qflash led was blinking for a minute or two)

 

I tried only 1 ram stick, I tried 2, I tried each in each slot, I tried using a dedicated gpu, nothing.

 

No output via hdmi nor any beep codes, not even a single short one. I have a beeper installed (obviously)

 

Only thing I can think of is that the cpu is dead, unfortunately I do not have another cpu to test it.

 

Hope someone has an idea

Did you remove the CPU before using the Q-Flash?
If so your CPU might be dead but more likely you killed the Mobo.

What I would try is a new bio update without the CPU in the socket.
It can take a few minutes to Update BTW.

I tried the CPU in my brothers PC (he has a B450 board with a Ryzen 5 5600X which works)

 

The Board has Error LEDs (Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming) and it goes through orange (dram), then red (cpu) and then it reboots and it repeats.

 

So I assume it is the CPU. That ofc does not mean that the Mainboard is not also broken.

 

Is there a way I can test the Mainboard without a CPU? (kinda annoying to remove and reinstall cpus all the time, especially since they are amd cpus which are not lga :/)

I RMAd the CPU and AMD confirmed it was dead.

 

I got a new one, and it still did not work, so I assumed the mainboard was also dead.

 

Now I have both a new mainboard and a new cpu and I tried different ram aswell.

 

No POST, No beep, no display output.

 

I don't know if I made a mistake during the q-flash?

 

This is super weird.

 

edit: when I have it running for a while without any output, the board and cpu do get hot tho

 

EDIT2: Apparently the q-flash failed. I tried it with 4 different usb drives until I found one that worked.
