Ryzen 5600X - $170 on Amazon

Asus Tuf Gaming B550-PLUS - $150 on Amazon

$319 before tax. Probably be $335 with tax. I run a 5900X on this board. Seems like a solid board, but it IS funny about RAM, so be sure to check the QVL list. Ask me how I know. 🤨

I might also add that the B550-PRO adds a 3.2 header for a little more if you need one.

A 5600X will be within limits with a stock AMD cooler, but I really would recommend something better like a Scythe Mugen or Fuma.

This post is kind of confusing.

You're saying you want a CPU (Intel or AMD) which will be an upgrade over the 9400f, and a motherboard compatible with said CPU, and you require that the motherboard has an integrated I/O shield rather than one that you have to put in separately? (Because all motherboards come with I/O shields.)

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
