GPU Sufficient for 3 Displays?

Go to solution Solved by Rorgash,

Yes, but they're not all DVI and only DVI supports 144hz to my knowledge

you got 2 DVI and 1 Display port and they all support it, im currently running 3x 144hz monitors and a AUX monitor on my 670, and i can play Farcry 3 on med/high graphics on 5760x1080 res

I have an EVGA 780 3GB and I've seen the 6gb 'Step-Up' and wondering if it's worth the upgrade if I'm going to accumulate 3 displays by the end of 2014 hopefully. I want to know if I can daisy-chain DVI connections so I can still take advantage of the 144hz that VG248QE's offer. Should I do the step up or wait to upgrade to SLI? I will probably be running 1 or 2 monitors running a game and another with Stream info. I mostly want to know if I can step up and if I can daisy-chain DVI cables.

No don't bother. Just add another one for SLI.

SLI doesn't increase GB of Vram, he doesn't need speed he needs video memory for more pixels, what resolution are you playing at, and do you game on all 3 monitors?

Well, they're 1080p and as stated I will probably be playing on 2

I know that. What you need to realize is you could have 12GB of VRAM to run 6 screens, but you still need the Horsepower to push the image. Nevermind the VRAM. Playing 5760x1080 would be better with SLI Rather than 6GB on a single card.
