Setup for EDM production

Go to solution Solved by TymmVonD,

More than likely, those will be great. I would say, some type of multi channel mixer, either usb/midi keyboard, or midi to usb audio interface, and why not a decent studio mic. The human voice is a source of great samples.

Hello everyone,

I'll start with EDM production but for that, I'll need some equipment. I really liked the Sennheiser HD6 Mixes, but they do have an impedance of 150 Ohms, so I guess I might need an amp (do I?). I'll also need an audio interface, but I don't know what should I go for. I'd like to know what are your thoughts on this and if you want to recommend other headphones it's great, but I need a closed design. That's my only requirement.

Now talking money here, I don't want to spend too much over 600 USD, but if you guys think I'll probably need to then that's okay as well. No hard limits when it comes to that.

Start talking, people! :)

That's... interesting. I'll check it out later. Let's assume, though, for the time being, that these are not an option. What would you suggest?

honestly, equipment is so subjective. There's no right or wrong in music. Well, i guess there's bad equipment....

Hahaha, I know that. I'm asking if these are decent headphones, and whether I'll need an amp, and, if so, which one. Also I assume getting an audio interface is a good idea, so I'd also like suggestions on that.
