I logged onto my computer and I received an error message saying something on the lines of "A computer fan is running slowly. You may experience... blah-blah-blah".

I was wondering if I need a new fan or not. It runs fine without changing the fan, though.

Well, just check your CPU fan.
If my cooler / system is capable of bringing it low, I'd rather have my CPU & GPU run fine at 80c (or whatever lower) than temp limit.
