I have a 2 year plan with T-mobile, going well so far but it runs until June 26 2014. I have the HTC One X.

I really really want the HTC One instead now. (also because my wifi is on the frizt because of an hardware issue.)

You can lenghten your plan again for 2 years. (which is no prob I am OK financially)

And then choose a different phone but also pay a fee for the device itself. (100 in this case) and 70 euros to make it happen.

Should I pay 170 euros for this? I really want the HTC One, simply because of the aliminium alone and the Boomsound at the front.

170Euros for HTC One? In my opinion, that's a no brainer!

Here in Belgium, I cant find it for under 550Euros (with contract!)

Cooler Master 690 II Advanced - I5 2500K @ 4.5Ghz - Geil Enhance Plus 1750Mhz 8Gb - ASUS ENGTX 570 DCUII - MSI Z68aGD65 - Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B - Samsung 830 128gb and Crucial m4 128gb - much other stuff not worth mentioning

No, No, No, NO, NO and NO, lol you will hate yourself for doing it I promise. T-mobile was almost just bought out by AT&T and if it would have went through then you would have had to sign a new contract with AT&T and buy a completely new phone and put up with any shitty plans they have.

Edit* I'm not saying the HTC one isn't a good phone just saying that signing a contract that says you will pay for 4 years of service these days is a stupid choice.

Go for it, companies usually offer "discounts" with contract renewals. The One goes for 600USD and with a 2 year contract on AT&T its 199USD for the 32gb model. Contract renewals are there so that people get changed to a different data plan or  a plan that usually costs more/a worse deal than what they offered before. My friend had unlimited data on Verizon but when he wanted to get a new phone, he would have to settle for a 3-4gb limit or something like that at about the same price as the unlimited that he has, so instead he bought the phone he wanted off of someone else and connected it with verizon, with no new contract and with the same he had before.
