any major manufacturer of motherboards on the Z87 platform all have capable overclocking support.

all it comes down to is color and connectivity (WiFi/LAN/USB ports).

black and yellow:

MSI MPower

Z87-Haswell-Premium-Motherboard-Roundup,

ASRock OC Formula (black/goldenrod):

Z87-Haswell-Premium-Motherboard-Roundup,

Gigabyte Z87-UD5H (black/gold):

Z87-Haswell-Premium-Motherboard-Roundup,

EDIT:

but for under $150, not going to find new. you could look into the ASUS Z87

(gold) A or PLUS motherboards for $150.

the OC formula is very nice but overpriced in my opinion.

I'm looking for one with that exact color scheme but that one is too expensive for me. The ASUS Z87-PRO (V EDITION) has really nice specs and a decent price but I'm not sure about the colors.

well the Pro V is a good choice, but you might look into the newer Z97 (available 05/11)

and re-compare your choices. since the Z97 for ASUS all the marigold slots and white locks were

replaced with black/grey.

That looks quite nice. And it has the latest Z97 chipset Linus was talking about in the latest NCIX's video. Although it's a little over my budget, I think I'll get this one.

EDIT: I'll be getting the Z97-A instead of the PRO one. It has everything I need.

once you have it, LinusTechTips always are looking for build logs and member reviews.

  • 4 weeks later...

What about one with blue accents? I was going to buy the Tri-X version of the R9 290 but now I'm getting the Vapor-X.
