Hmm.. I guess i'm just wondering why Gigbyte says 1650 but i'm at 1950 even undervolted.

Every monitoring software I've used (5+) says 1925-80mhz. Stock it boosts to well over 1900. Undervolted I have it set to .925 (IIRC) at 1960, and it hits 1980. Not complaining, just wondering why GB rates it so low. heh

They need a number that they can guarantee all cards to hit. If they set it low, they don't need to worry when someone complains that they are not getting the proper boost.

I recently bought a used Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GAMING OC for $300 CAD! Anyways, the GB web page, and furmark, show 1650-70ish. However, All monitoring software i've tried says 1925-80ish. What's the deal? 馃檪

normal behavior, furmark is a power virus that is nerfed by the drivers.

You're using Furmark.聽

Furmark causes one of three things to happen

  1. GPUs to hit the power limit and underclock significantly to stay within power targets (what's likely happening here)
  2. GPU VRMs to just blow up
  3. GPUs to run an insane amount of power and lower clocks to keep from overheating

Either way, it's not useful for anything but as a case torture test. Clock speeds in it will be much lower than what it is in everything else and that's just expected.聽

Run something like Heaven, Time Spy, Superposition, a number of different games, etc. and you should see the frequency closer to the 2GHz that you're expecting. Honestly 1650 sounds high given what I've seen in Furmark.聽

Thats every gpu for over a decade. Thats how the boost works. The specs manufacture's use is guarantee. Unless they are bstock, most will only run at rated and not boost any further.
