I'm £10 over budget, hope it's still good but cannot go lower without really downgrading something (a 5500 is clearly a worse CPU, 250GB drives are too small, etc..)

You can still ditch the £25 cooler but it'll look better and quieter with it

I'd suggest you find a 700 watt power supply so your computer doesnt randomly shutdown during power intensive tasks. because that dell psu is barely good at powering anything this modern.

By the way, you should keep your motherboard and CPU, and focus on upgrading that GT 1030, maybe get a gtx 1660 thats 279 dollars, and a 700 watt power supply should probably get you close to your budget, should balance everything

i seem to have badly worded my question: i need reccomendations for motherboard and cpu inless you have an idea for a full pc. i DO NOT have a pc currently than i can upgrade or take parts from, the parts i have thought of so far for my budget pc build is a gtx 1650 and 16gb of ram, the cpu i have found but dont really want to use is ryzen 3 1200. i would like ideas for full pcs or help to continue this build. none of the parts ive said are final but there just what i found on my own

OP can't use anything from his Dell Opticrap 🙂  except the 4770 and the DDR3 RAM, but it's not a good idea...

And he stated :

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): the other parts are gtx 1650 evga, Evga 600 W1, 80+ White 600W, Power Supply 100-W1-0600-K3, 16gb ddr4 ram

So he needs a budget modern CPU, board and storage, plus a case, that's what's in my list
