Programs not connecting

Hello so i recently did a windows 10 update not thinking much of it now sometimes when i start my pc and load in to windows my pc has internet i can browse the web ect but programs them selfs do not connect like discord ect. The only fix it is reset my router and then it works again any suggestions ?
