I just upgraded my PC (new mobo and cpu) and I got a micro ATX board. I can sell my current case for enough money for it to make sense, I am just wondering if the 350d will have enough room in it for my needs. I have a Glacer 240L I plan to put uptop, and a Antec kuhler 620 in the rear. Main question is, is there enough room behind the mobo tray to decently hide and store all the excess cables a TX750 PSU has? Its a struggle in my Define XL to be honest. There isn't too much space between the mobo tray and the rear panel.

Also, any overall impressions of the case? If I don't get a 350d, I would likely go for an R4, but I am honestly not too thrilled with the Define XL R2 I have. It isn't build square, came with the wrong sized stand off's. Doesn't have removable dust filters up front. Just little things like that add up to not being super amazing imo. I know the R4 is popular as anything, but I wasn't overly impressed with my XL R2 :/

Very good idea. The 350D is awesome. If you put a lot of high-wattage components into it, you may want to invest in more/quality fans, but it's an absolutely great case. You may like the R4/Arc Midi but in my opinion, the 350D beats anything from Fractal Design hands down.

The Arc Mini is also a pretty great product but I think that FD completely screwed up the XL series. They suck, period.

Get the windowed 350D.

Sorry, didn't read. I think it might be a struggle with the cables of the TX750, but I think you'll manage with some twist/zip ties. Honestly, I don't think any case will have a good time handling those cables except the H440, and even with the H440 it's hard to cram a bunch of PCIe, SATA power, Molex and an ATX12V into its "compartment".

You won't be able to fit all the cables in the back, It would also be stupidly tight with an R4

You don't think so? I saw in a picture somewhere there is one inch of space between the tray and the rear panel. Not a HUGE amount of space, and in your opinion not enough?

No, but the H440 and R4 both have a thick layer of insulating foam that takes up much of the 1 inch of space.

If I recall correctly the R4 and Define Mini both have some pretty sh*tty cooling abilities. I think the R2/Mini would be better. Would you be down to get a modular PSU? That would make it easier in any case.

Yea, it has a lot of cables! And I don't want to buy a new PSU for this because my PSU is perfectly fine.

As stated the foam takes a lot of that space. I know your PSU works fine but maybe you should get a new one?

There is foam in the 350d? I thought it was just a standard metal rear panel?

No i meant the R4 and H440

You think the 320d will have enough clearance? It sounds like it will be real close, but possible. I am really good at wire management, but you can only do so much with a limited space...

Come to think about it, the 350D might serve you the best out of all of them because of the lack of padding.

If I can fit the side panel on H440 with a 24-pin running down the middle, without any bulging or tearing, I'm sure you can do the same in the 350D.

Im just worried about all the extra wires I won't need to run anywhere. Off hand I know I have 2 extra 6+2 pings, an extra sata or two, and 2 extra molex's that have no where to go. So they will just kinda sit on the bottom or be ziptied up the back of the mobo tray or something I suppose. Almost wish I had SLI just so I could run those cables somewhere lol

If you're good with tools maybe try and make a mid plate?

round PSU cable harnesses will be tougher over flat cable sets. it'll get cramped

back there with 4x PCIe and 4x peripheral cables. will have to get creative like

all the other cases as 25mm is pretty much standard except the hush cases and

their padding.

I would go for 450D. It's built for air flow and can fit your components. I love the 450D. It looks like the 350D but with small differences.
