after the rush, they'll prolly put the old part on sale and get rid of some of them. maybe 10-20 bucks cheaper

Depends I guess. Ivy prices were about $100 (or€70) cheaper 2-3 months after Haswell release.

The main reason why sandy bridges were more expensive than ivy bridges was just because sandy bridge clocked better and ran cooler. Same thing now with ivy bridge & haswell but now that devil canyon is fixing all the cons of haswell cpu's I'd rather expect the haswells dropping in price.
