You don't want to put a router behind another router... that puts you in double NAT which can lead to some weird issues.

 

You would need to get a stand alone modem, then plug the router into that.

I'm pretty sure that double NAT only applies to wifi.  Ethernet cable directly from the modem/router to the second router--is not an issue.

 

Long story short, you need to run ethernet all the way back to whatever is serving as your modem--for best results.  Barring that, you want to run ethernet from the modem to as many steps in the chain as possible until you rely on wifi.

No, wifi or cable does not matter, double NAT is a topology thing, not related to interface.
