I did a web project way back in the day which I uploaded to 000webhost and I linked a domain to it. Now, I have forgot about the credentials of the webhost server and the domain has expired however, I really need the files on the server. Is there any way I can know where my domain name used to point but keep in mind it has expired. The domain is swayamjoshi.me

Thank you..

No, there isn't. The DNS provider has deleted the entry and since this was "back in the day", the change has long since propagated to every other DNS server out there. It's very unlikely the provider has kept a backup (or that they would tell you if asked).

How long ago are you talking? I wouldn't be surprised if 000webhost has deleted these files if the domain was no longer active and since you forgot the credentials, you wouldn't be able to access anything other than public facing HTML.

Remember to either quote or @mention others, so they are notified of your reply

It was around 2 years ago. I considered repurchasing the dns cus there is one think when I sent the website to someone on instagram, it mysteriously showed the descripsion and header of the website which still makes me believe that it is out there somewhere. You can also try it by sending the link to someone on instagram specifially, it will show the heading of the file though it is a bit embarrasing.

If you repurchase the domain you'll still need to point it to the server's IP, so you need to know that... but if you know that you can already reach the public-facing website through it directly without the name.
