I have 6 120mm fans in my system, 4 case and 2 CPU.   I currently have 2 front intakes, 1 back and 1 top extraction.   I feel I should move the top extraction to be in front of the CPU cooler and make it another intake.

What's you thoughts?

What's your spec & what's your current thermal?

Are you saying you’re using the two lower front fans positions? If so, I’d firstly move the fan in the front-lower position to the front-upper & test temps.

That front-upper’s the most important one for the CPU as it provides airflow directly into its cooler.

The front-middle fan then provides air below & above the GPU to both provide its intake fans with cool air & push the expelled hot air to the back/top-rear corner of the case.

I have a 3600, with a 3060ti and 32gb ram.  I also have a artic freezer 34 eSports duo.  With a Corsair carbide series 270r.    My fans placement is:. Front 1 bottom and one top, both intake.   Rear is exhaust as is the top  right above the cpu cooler.

It's weird as my 3060ti runs 49- 50 at idle  but I've just had a 4 hour fallout 4 session and the temps dropped!    Ever since moving the middle fan from front to the top my system is running cooler than ever!

Maybe fallout 4 in Linux on ultra isn't really that taxing?

What were LOAD temps before/after moving that front-middle fan?
