Hello,
I recently brought a power supply (Gold 80+ 850w) and it looks great, however the plug supplied is a 2 pin (rounded) which doesn't work in the UK (3 pin rectangle).

The plug itself says on it 16A 250V~

My question is, Can I change it with a plug that I already own which is a 5A 250V~ (currently being used in my old PC)

If I am correct, the "##A" is just the type of plug so this other plug should still work in the same way regardless of its model?

Thank you for your time.

-Jamie

I would think the 16A is what the "plug" can handle (safely and continously) it does not have to be fitted with a 16A fuse.

Most uk plugs are marked as 13A that is what they will handle not the minimum they can deal with, fitting tham with a 5A fuse is perfectly OK.
