Asus TUF GT301 and AIO LC 240 Top Mount Problem

sagara777

I have a problem installing the Asus Tuf LC 240 Radiator and Fan on the top of the Asus Tuf GT310 case because the Fan part is always blocked by the motherboard VRM Heatsink

but strangely in some videos on YT (list is below, especially in video 2) who do assembling a PC with more or less the same specs as mine, they are miraculously able to install it on the top of the case without being blocked by vrm

is there any solution ? because I tried to ask here and there nothing was satisfactory

From your picture, the motherboard dosen't appear to be installed. Connections not lining up with i/o shield. Did you install the board correctly? This is the top look with a 240 rad installed:

sorry, but the picture is one of my friend's input by installing the radiator and fan first and then installing the motherboard

but I also followed the method in the video on YT but it always didn't work and the Radiator bolt holes always couldn't fit and align with the bolt holes on the casing (sorry I can't provide actual pictures because I've disassembled my PC 4 times in two weeks)

Use some tin snips and remove the corner of that fan shroud.

How tight of a fit, sometimes cases get oblonged and can easily be pushed around to get stuff to fit where space is particularly an issue.

I've tried disassembling my PC again, and tried to install the Radiator and the fan on the top of the case, but the screw holes are not aligned at all.

if I force it to be installed, then I can only install two bolts on the bolt hole in the center of the radiator,

if i did it would probably look fine, not stick to the dangerous parts and not wiggle
but will it have any effect in the future?
