You need the computer to be connected to your network to be able to have internet...

Don't tell me you think that your computer somehow magically connects to the internet with the help of little elves or something.

You probably have to install the driver for the ethernet adapter. It's on the disc that came with the motherboard. Better yet, If you have a different computer that can access the internet, download it from the motherboard manufactures website.

And you need to plug in a LAN cable to access the network, if that's what you are asking

check device manager. if you have a yellow question mark next to your network adapter, you need to install the driver in order to get internet. download the latest from the motherboard manufacturer.

Try unpacking the .zip file of you haven't already.

And what OS are you using? The one I linked was for Windows 8. Here is one for Windows 7: http://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/realtek_pcielan_7_mb.zip

Thanks, will do! Hope you didn't laugh at me this time.

If you are refering to my location, it's a very old inside joke. I would never laugh at anyone with a problem.
