Just updated to the latest bios and the problem still stands. Is it posible that the port itself got damaged somehow?

It is possible. Or the lan chip is just finicky.

You could always get a Lan card instead.

Hi there,

As the title suggest my pc sometimes loses connection a few minutes after booting up. usually varies between 2-15 min. Sometimes a simple disconnection and reconnection of the ethernet cable fixes it and other times a restart does the trick but other times it just doesn't come back at all for days. I've tried updating my network drivers. Uninstalling them (when I try this I get a blue screen of death while restarting) and also tried disabling my antivirus (bitdefender) to no avail.

specs:

MB: MSI z390 gaming plus

CPU: I58600k (no OC)

16GB DDR4 of Gskill RipJaws

GPU: MSI 1660super Ventus

Storage1: Samsung 860evo 250GB SATA SSD

 Storage 2: Intel 660p 1TB M.2 SSD

Power Supply: Thermalake 600W 80plus White

Any Ideas what to try next?

Have you ever updated the bios on the board? If not, try that.

I haven't yet. I was trying not to do that and do every other option as BIOS updates tend to scare me a bit. but I'll give it a go and see if it works. Thanks
