Cheapest 6c/12t pcie 4.0 ryzen cpu

Hello, i'm a igfx user with 4650g, recently i bought a msi rx570 4g and wanted to upgrade my system to pcie gen 4. I wanted to go with cheap but at least 6 core cpu for it, i think r5 3600 is best choice for me but some advice would make things clear for me.

to pcie gen 4.

why? there is not benefit to that. GPUS are the same in pcie 3.0 adn 4.0. Only thign that changes is that SSDs get faster, which you wont notice anyway. You are just throwing money away. Better to go throw them to a drain outside your house.

Following on your previous topic... if you're doing it just for the 980 Pro SSD, it's not worth it man. Unless you have some absolutely niche use case where you need those sequential speeds on a 256GB drive? Unlikely imo.

But yes, the R5 3600 will work. But it has no iGPU so you would also need to buy a graphics card.

EDIT:

RX 570 4G definitely doesen't need a PCIe 4.0 as well.

Its not about performance or trying to gain more speed/fps, i dont even game that much and if i do i can play on 4650g easily but i like pc parts and upgrading them, i dont even need another 8x2 to make 32gigs but i will just for fun and it makes me happy, even tho i bought a rx570 i'll probably play stardew valley with it :D. I didnt even needed 980pro, a water cooler, or 550 motherboard. Long story short if "this" makes me happy ill do it. Also if i sell 4650g and buy r5 3600 a bit of money will return (in my country, idk us prices).

So, r5 3600 is a good replace or theres something else that could be better?
