Hey, is it ok to clean your rig with a hair dryer instead of regular compressed air. I know I vaccine cleaner can build up static.

Thanks in advance!

Should be ok, as long as you don't leave the hot end touching anything for long. Maybe try a vacuum first, though? That way, dust is getting sucked away, not blowing into the air :P

It would work but will lack blowy power, also use the cold setting! A vacuum is good too but beware of your more delicate components and static could be an issue.

You might be better off trying to get a can of compressed air it is a bit better in the long run and as long as you use short bursts of air combined with a bit of sense. it should last a long time. Another great tool is a small paintbrush, I usually try to not use synthetic ones and not too vigorous but to get into a fan and so on it is a lifesaver, make sure the bristles are held securely to the brush and not loose!
