Hi, I am having a problem while playing COD Warzone Caldera, trying to move around and I freeze for 1-3s and when I unfreeze I am facing another direction. This is only happening in Caldera, I tried the new map or COD Vanguard MP was running smooth. This issue is happening with my new RAM straight away, with my old RAM it starts appearing after extended period of time and is not that severe, these lags happen 2 times every 5 minutes or so.

Lenovo T5 26AMR5 pre-built

GPU: Ryzen 5 56000G

GPU: 3060TI LHR

RAM: 16gb (2x8GB), 1Rx16

I bought a new RAM module because stock one is the very worst

The RAM kit I bought is TEAMGROUP T-Force Zeus. (https://www.teamgroupinc.com/en/product/zeus-ddr4)

When I installed it, it was running not as advertised at all:

Frequency 1200MHZ with CAS 16, RAS to CAS 16, RAS precharge 16, tRAS 39, tRC 55

I tried to adjust it to what is advertised in TEAMGROUP website via Ryzen Master

Frequency 1600MHZ with CAS 20, RAS to CAS 22, RAS precharge 22, tRAS 46, tRC 68

Now I tried to return it to original values via Ryzen Master again and it still has the same issue in WZ Caldera. It\s weird that it is laggy only in this specific game mode, does it have to do with it being big map?

COD WZ has a history of running like poop on a variety of hardware configurations and from my experience attempting to troubleshoot it there is never a resolution found in almost any thread about it.

My conclusion is the game just sucks.

Do not adjust your RAM timings (or anything, for that matter) in Ryzen Master. Return all values to default in Ryzen Master and make sure it isn't applying any settings at boot. Then jump into your BIOS, enable XMP, and see what happens.

I would mark this as a solution but will wait for someone else opinion. I read and experienced myself that COD WZ is poorly optimized, but it's no surprise when this is a game with 2 more games being integrated.

Unfortunately no XMP possibility on this PC, it's a prebuilt

I don't have any more to add sadly. It's not a solution even. It just sucks.

Dumb OEM nonsense...

What made you change RAM, btw? It supposedly comes with 2x8GB 3200 RAM.

I've played games that were far worse on hardware, you probably don't know what you're doing as I'm typing right now, I currently am getting like 120 FPS in the map with my 3060 Ti. Turn on DLSS, and do not turn RTX on as the implementation is just bad and a dip on performance. Set caching to 64gb for map.

Also, do not run this game off HDD ever.

Am, there is nothing in your comment that is even close to the topic but thanks for stopping by

Just as there's nothing causing the RAM speeds to make you lag that horribly. You'll be wasting your money by buying another set of RAM.

The only sensible cause of this could be a LACK of RAM as this game does hit 16gb sticks hard at times.
