Hello, my computer has been getting a lot of crashes lately while under load where it just locks up and a buzz comes from the speakers like a failed CPU overclock and it occurs to quick for a blue screen to occur. I have tried resetting windows, two cpu's (R9 3950x and 5950x) two gpus (RTX 3080 12gb and GTX 980 4gb) and two kits of 32gb DDR4 with no luck. My system specs are R9 5950x, 32gb ddr4, RTX 3080 12gb, 850-watt PSU and custom looped, no components are overheating and I have tried bios updates too. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next?

Thank you,

Thank you,

What is the make and model of your motherboard and your power supply. Just giving the wattage of the power supply is not enough.

🧐 Well, your motherboard and power supply are good quality. Tried testing your ram with apps like this?

Yes I have. And I've tried two different kits   would it be beneficial to try another motherboard? Like the x570 aorus master

I have the auros master, though I don't think it's that much better than yours going by the reviews. I'd start with a different power supply I guess. And another thing you can do is run 'Sfc /scannow' in command prompt or powershell. I do it in safe mode. You're not overclocking right?

Have you tried to clear CMOS? Also have you tried running with one single ram sitck and moved it to different slots to see if any of them may be faulty? Also disconnected any non essential things connected to the PC?

You should try what Black suggested in cmd or power shell admin session (open as admin) and also these commands after you ran sfc and rebooted.

chkdsk c: /f /r

Reboot and let it do it's thing.

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /ScanHealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Reboot and see if it got better if not grab DDU from below along with your latest video card drivers from Nvidia

https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Boot into safe mode, disconnect from internet, launch the program and remove your graphics drivers. Boot back into normal Windows and install your graphic drivers before you connect back to the internet (disconnecting is recommended so Windows wont automatically install old drivers).

Make sure you have the latest chipset drivers (amd.com) and also make sure you have Ryzen Balanced power plan enabled.

Unfortunately those commands did not work and the driver updates/reinstall. So I'm thinking it's something to do with the power supply or motherboard
