A small office with about 6 employs needing email service. What are my options?

Hi.

Thx in advanced for the help.

Small office. 6 stations. Each user needs and Email account.

What are my options? I need to keep cost to the lowest.

Thx so much

If this is the only constraint, what is wrong with GMail?

I think you can use your own domain with GMail too if you don't want to have @gmail.com addresses, doesn't cost anything extra for GMail, you just have to pay for the domain

I use fastmail.com with my own domain - buy your own domain (10-20$ a year), then each person gets their own account - Standard plan is 5$ a month, Professional is 9$ a month : https://www.fastmail.com/pricing/

Works with Thunderbird, Outlook, whatever, has very nice webmail client that works well on mobile as well, no complaints.  No ads, gmail to parse emails and serve me ads, clean interface etc

If it's mission critical, and you haven't run an email server before, just subscribe to a hosted solution like Office 365 or GSuite. There's too much can go wrong too easily if you try to self-host.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

This.  G-Suite or Office 365 are hands-down the best choices, and they're not expensive.
