Hello everyone (German here so my english isnt the best),

Running a Ryzen 5 5600x and a RX6700XT

I got a new 1440p 144hz monitor today and I wanted to play Ark: Survival Evolve in 1440p. When applying the new resolution, my new monitor and my second monitor (1080p) lost signal and i had to restart my system.

After restarting i noticed that the AMD driver did not open with the Alt+R combo so I looked for it in the searchbar and there it was. Opening it however gave me this promt:

 PA300-1.webp.965683824680b1b03c8ff0dc55d6c6c6.webp

So i went to the AMD website to reinstall my driver and after that, everything was fine. About an hour later, as i was dragging my chrome window from one monitor to the other, both monitors just turned black again (I uninstalled Ark after the first incident btw). And once again the driver is gone.

I'm now sitting here driverless and with only one monitor actually working and i dont really know what to do. i only have this PC since April so I dont really have that much knowlege on this. Can anyone help me fix this issue?

Run DDU, install the latest drivers from AMD's website and run this tool. Then disable everything from AMD. Windows update for some reason always installs AMD drivers that break some things (most of the time the Radeon control panel but often other things too)

It´s because Windows keep installing older AMD drivers. I have the same issue, but managed to work around it by installing wushowhide and hide every AMD update that Windows update tries to intstall. You can download it from here: https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/wushowhide.html just choose Hide updates and check the AMD driver boxes. Just be aware, that you will need to do this after every major windows update. Before you

use wushowhide reinstall the drivers with the method mentioned by Pixelfie.
