You have to rewire whatever this connection is and probably need to be aware of the route you take to reduce SNR.

What kind of connection are we talking of?

Usually that's a line / ISP problem.

You are not going to be fixing this issue with random "cmd" commands. You are looking at physically changing things, be it wiring or something else.

Bad SNR on the line = bad line. Either the ISP's problem or something with your house wiring.

i mean like this command |wan dmt2 set snrm| but this one change just the downstream snr margin

If the upstream SNRm is really high there are two possibilities:

  1. The line conditions are really bad, lowering it will just cause your connection to drop more frequently.
  2. The ISP have capped your upload speed, trying to lower the target on the modem/router will do nothing if this is the case as its a hard-limit on the speed they will let you connect at, not the SNRm.

When I used to have ADSL I was able to drop the downstream to 3dB and be stable, but if I tried to do the same to upstream it was extremely unstable as I believe upstream is usually using less power than downstream so more prone to interference.

Also, if you can even tweak it depends on the modem/router, nobody can even begin to try to help you if we don't know what it is.

I can't find any mention of tweaking upstream for that model, its probably not possible but like I said its not advisable anyway.

If its higher than 6dB I'd be asking your ISP if this is normal and have they capped the upstream sync rate.
