Actually you can try switching all of your components one by one in order to see if the problem goes away. But my guess is that the problem is motherboard related.

Yeah I rolled through what I have available to switch. Decided to just upgrade the Mobo and CPU. I'll find out next week when it comes in. If the problem persists, I just evaporate completely.

A little backstory. A couple weeks ago I upgraded my PSU and GPU. My PSU didn't work. I pressed the on button, and it lit up for a millisecond and turned off. Bummer. Got a new PSU and it worked fine, however two of my drives no longer work. Whatever, the pc is working. I used it for 2 weeks and all was good. Maybe a random blur Screen, or it would restart for seemingly no reason.

Yesterday, Windows updated, I'm playing RE3 and it crashes. Then I play cyberpunk, and it crashes. Restart it, crashes again and blue screen. Restart computer, launch Google, blue screen. Anytime I launched an application it would blue screen.

I figure it was a bad windows install. I go to reinstall it. I wipe all the drives and I get an error during the installation process. 0X80070570, retry get a new error, 0XC0000005, retry, new error 0X8007025D. Time to start troubleshooting.

I flash bios, reseat RAM, change USB sticks that I'm using to install windows, try different USB ports. All nothing.

I feel like my motherboard may be the thing that's acting up. However, I found an older reddit post, that someone made with a new build having this issue here https://reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/nvbhal/windows_10_install_fails_with_error_0xc0000005/

I truly have no idea if it's my CPU or MB, but I have a feeling it's either of those pieces. If i cant find a solution, im going to order a new MB/CPU. Any ideas?

Specs:

CPU i9-9900k

Evga 3080ti XC3

Z390-A Pro

32GB 3600mhz Corsair Vengeance

Corsair RM850 Gold Certified

2 1TB SSD, 1 256GB SSD

So it looks like the codes are related to bad installs of windows and possibly corrupted files from windows. Would recommend doing a fresh format of the target drive and USB stick, and getting a new windows image.

I did indeed try that. I used a different computer to fresh format my USB stick, and created new installation media on it several times. Formatted the drives in my computer to fresh new ones, and tried installing on the 3 separate drives, just in case any were acting up. Same error codes.

Could be mobo related... I had such a problem in the past.

That's my guess. Instead of getting the same mobo for 300$ I've decided to just upgrade the Mobo and CPU. Going to order them next week. But for now I'll keep fiddling to see if there's any change
