When I boot my PC, barely any info shows up during POST. Let me explain:

I recently built my first system in 15 years. It's a Gigabyte X570 Pro board and I disabled the BIOS splash screen so I could see the proper POST screen. Now in the olden days it would check if all my memory was there and if it could find all my peripherals and boot devices. But on my new board no such info is displayed. Basically all it shows is the line saying "press DEL to enter BIOS". But what is the point of a POST screen if you're not showing me any info? I tried looking in the BIOS itself for a setting to turn this on, but no such luck.

Is this normal and am I just an old fart or can I get some info on my POST screen?

It is normal nowadays to not show that sort of information anymore.

Honestly I never even noticed it missing, but now that you mention it I would want it to display that aswell.

Just goes to show that proper troubleshooting has become a thing of the past.
