currently i have 2 sticks of 16gb ddr5 5600mhz dominator platinum ram for a total of 32gb,

i seem to remember seeing something that made me believe that having  all 4 lanes populated ran the risk of not running correctly, the motherboard i am using is an Asus ROG Strix Z690-E gaming wifi mobo and i wus curious if anyone new if it would be an issue if i populated all lanes for a total of 4 sticks adding up to 64gb, i just want all lanes populated i think it looks better, but if it will make things not run correctly then i will forget about it

I wouldn't see an issue with populating all 4 slots on your mobo. If there would be I'd assume it would be an issue with the cpus memory controller that isn't working with the ram. I'm not sure about the intricacies of ddr5 but if you post in the troubleshooting tab if the forum, your might get a more definite answer than I could give you

This is what running 4x16GB of DDR4 looks like. It's incredibly difficult on the memory controller, 5600MHz is basically impossible to hit, and depending on how good/bad your CPU is you might not even be able to hit 5200MHz. I'd be surprised if it didn't POST, but at the same time without a ton of manual tuning I doubt that it would do better than 4800MHz, if it can even do that.

If you care at all about performance, don't get the extra 4 sticks. If you don't care about performance and just want the machine to look pretty, it'll function, just not at the speeds that you're paying for.
