Check out some products from Dell. I am aware their computers aren't very good but their monitors are EXCEPTIONAL, especially for the price points some of them come in at.

For example, I bought the S2422HG, a 24" curved 1080p gaming monitor with 1-3ms average response times, fantastic color accuracy for professional work, 165Hz refresh rate for ultra smooth gaming and content consumption, as well as a buttery smooth animation experience in the Windows user interface. I got my monitor on sale at Best Buy for about $165, and this is by a long shot the best monitor I've ever had. Before this, I had only had cheap 720p or 1080p 60Hz LCD monitors, and before that I used a Dell '97 CRT for six or seven years. So the step up to this curved, high refresh rate, image displaying beast, was a monumental and indescribable upgrade for me.

Also, I don't recommend stepping up to the 27" or the ultrawide S series monitors because they use VA panels which respond slower than most gamers want. They do have excellent black levels, don't get me wrong the blacks on the S2422HG are good, but it's an IPS panel so it does not have the ability to shut off individual pixels for those true blacks like you see on VA or OLED panels.

The S2422HG is Freesync and G-sync compatible as well. This is all around a fantastic monitor if you don't want that stupid "gamery" aesthetic and RGB and other unnecessary features that take your attention from the screen itself. The S2422HG is also as close to bezel-less as it gets. The bezel around the sides and top of the display is less than one centimeter in width. The chin is about two centimeters.

Basically this monitor is the one. HDR is gimmicky and just an extra tax you pay for displays. I recommend against HDR, imo it's more true to life without. All HDR seems to do for me is oversaturate colors and increase the contrast to unnatural levels.

~` please , don't let my whole life burn down `~

- why can't i just focus right now? -

; i'm tired ;

cheapest monitor with true HDR is AW3423DW

or you can get a c1 oled if it isnt too big

for non-hdr 1080p, AOC 24G2

1440p the MSI MAG274QRF-QD

As for the G7, it seems to be 50/50 whether you get a good one, coinflip if you have hardware that can drive 1440p/240hz

IPS and good HDR don't come together, G7 might do better in that regard but not great for either of them. Get the MSI if you want colour accuracy and speed, get a TV or large VA if you want HDR.

my Asus PG279Q is better than the G7 coz i have both and i know what is like to have samsung

so i wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to play games with VA panel, go for IPS

been using the 2 monitors for a while now but ended up selling the G7 32"

if someone wants a 1440p monitor dont go 32"

and get a 27" 1440p with IPS panel

The user is requesting 27", rtings did not review 27", that why I use 32" model as example.

I never suggest VA over IPS last time due to VA dark black smearing issue,  but from review I know so far only Odyssey G7 and Odyssey Neo G9 don't have such issue.

I own Odyssey Neo G9 (VA) and I previously use LG 34GN850 (IPS) and I am pretty sure the Odyssey Neo G9 VA panel never output worst than the LG 34GN850 IPS panel. Also they is no dark black smearing issue.

Then only cons of this two VA is poor viewing angle but you use the monitor straight infront of you which viewing angle never is an issue.
