Looking For Recommendations - Upgrade Time

Greetings!

 

I'm in the market for an upgrade and was looking for some possible suggestions. 

 

I'm currently rocking a 2017 LG Gram with an i7 - 8550U / 16gb ram. Unfortunately Its not cutting it anymore with light simulation games, and it struggles when editing photos in Photoshop and Lightroom - but its fine for everything else. I used to have a rig with a 3rd gen Ryzen / 1070 Ti rig but had to sell it when I moved. Due to space restraints I would like to stick with a laptop.

 

I have been looking at the ASUS Zephyrus Series as Linus gave it a decent review and I enjoy its features / clean aesthetic. I've been considering the G14 (Ryzen 9 + 6700s) - $1,500, the G15 (Ryzen 9 + 3060) $1,650, or (i9 + 3070 Ti) $2,000. I really don't want to spend $2,000 but will if its worth it and will last a good bit of time then I'm not opposed. The most demanding game I play would probably be Anno 1800 (back on my rig), and Witcher 3. Does the 6700s cut it, or should I step up for something more? Ideally, I would be looking for something that's going to hold up for a good amount of time. I will be using it for personal / school use.

 

Any help or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm not opposed to other brands - just looking for something solid without burning a hole in my wallet.
