due to the advances in 12th gen intel CPUs, I definitely recommend avoiding their last gen 11th and 10th gen CPUs. Otherwise, Ryzen 500 series processors would be more cost effective for better performance.

saved a little on the SSD, ram, and PSU, and upgraded the GPU to an RX 6600XT

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Went with 12th gen intel, so it's a little over the $1000 mark, but I think this would be a great option.

This should be a lot faster while being cheaper.

  • Changed the CPU to 12400F. That's better and newer than a 10600KF, and for what's currently available LGA 1700 should have best upgradeability. A 5600 and B550 would also be about as good for a similar price, but it will have less upgradeability.
  • Changed cooler to Freezer 34. Great cooler and in this price range you shouldn't be using an AIO.
  • This B660 is one of the best value boards and will work great with a 12400F.
  • The SSD is cheaper and newer
  • The 6600 XT is MUCH faster than a 3050. It will perform between a 3060 and 3060 Ti.
  • The H510 has very bad airflow. I think if you like the H510 you'll also like the Lancool 205, which DOES have good airflow.
  • This PSU is cheaper and almost just as good.
