Dont see a Graphics card, looks good otherways. I'd switch out that wd Blue for a seagate barracuda but youll be fine with a wd blue aswell

Welcome to the forum!

If there's any possible way you could get Windows from anywhere else (friend, etc.), you could get a GTX 750 or 750Ti, which would dramatically boost gaming performance, and still be in budget. Unless it's not a gaming PC, but you might as well :P

Welcome to the forum!

As for your build, I would like to say that it looks perfect except for the memory. I noticed that you put in a 1x4GB stick. This will work, but DDR3 works the best when you have, in your case, a 2x2GB setup in terms of memory. In addition, I do not see a graphics card listed and I recommend the GTX 750 Ti.

Again, welcome to the forums. I am the official 12-year-old and I am here to assist. :)

He can add more memory to the system with 1x4gb. The performance loss isnt big at all

The PC itself is just going to be used for medium gaming and a home computer and i would love to get a graphics card for this like that 750 but unfortunatly i can't get windows from a friend and such soooo i had to cutback. it will for sure be an add on in the future though as well as more ram. but the reason i did 1x4GB is because its easier to add on more ram in the future.  :)

Fellow Newbie here as well, welcome!

As stated earlier, more background is always good (use of the PC, etc). It doesn't look bad, I would just second what's already been said; replace the Western Digital drive with a Seagate, and think about getting a GT 750Ti. I'm not recommending it, but if you don't want to spend money on a operating system you can always get one from ThePirateBay.

To be dead honest, I cheated those nice people at Microsoft and just downloaded my OS from the good ol' Interwebz. It saved me $100 or so, and the only thing about it is that I get a pop-up chastising me for not activating my *completely legit* (cough) copy of Windows. If you're deadset on getting a legitimate copy of Windows, then you can always go with an APU like the A10-5800K or an A10-6790K. It gives you alright graphics for a decent price.

Welcome to the forum! I'm one to talk here as I'm still a noob here as well, but I'll welcome you anyway.

Also, should the build part be in the planning thread?

There are ways to activate it for free. ;)

Naa, he's 13 and I am turning 13 come July. @Yummychickenblue is the official 12-year-old.

However, I am LTT's official story master in the non-techies thread.

True, but it's hard to find those 'free activation methods' for Windows 7 Home Premium. For some reason, over 60 tries and 0 successes.
