imo one gpu is always better, lower power consumption, lower temps, not as noisy, doesnt look as cool but hey what ya gonna do. the only time i would recommend sli is if one titan just isnt enough or for 680s since not much is better than it. BUT i would wait for 700 series

I would recommend GTX 680. SLI tends to have more problems then using a single card. Also, not all games get a significant boost from the 2nd card. That being said, if the SLI works good and you can save a few bucks it might be worth it. Dual cards look fantastic!

I'd say get a 7970 or 7950 instead.

Wait for the gtx 700's and get the 770 for $400-500.
