Specs

Ryzen 7 3700x

32 GB RAM 3200mhz

RX 6600

So I recently upgraded my GPU from a RX 5500 to a 6600 and also changed my power supply from 500w to 750w but I noticed that my frames dropped as much as 10% in some of my games after my upgrade. My motherboard has one x16 PCIE 3.0 slot and the card is 4.0 which I thought was the problem at first but after looking around apparently upgrading to a 4.0 motherboard would only lead to a modest improvement so I was wondering if anyone could explain the drop in frames

Did you try clearing and reinstalling the drivers?

i did use a driver cleaner and reinstalled the drivers twice haven't tried reinstalling windows though

So would upgrading my motherboard be worth it or would the benefit be minimal

I couldn't find a PCIe comparison that wasn't for the XT though.
