Budget (including currency):  Doesn’t have a exact budget, but around 3k-4k US dollars

Country: Assume I’m in US.

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: DCS and maybe 3d modeling in the future. 

Other details This would be my first build, is there anything I should change in my parts list? I know 3080 is much better value but they are priced basically same as 3080ti for now.

I'd change the RAM and motherboard out for the DDR4 variants. A fast kit of DDR4 will usually outperform a low spec kit of DDR5 like 4800MHz CL40 while costing less and having much fewer stability problems (these 1st gen DDR5 controllers on the Alder Lake CPUs are terrible). 

 

Also I'd try and get a shorter 1000w PSU or an 850w. The Torrent doesn't have a ton of room for tying up stray cables and a shorter PSU is a good way to help get a bit more room to do that. The EVGA SuperNova GT 1000w would be a good choice if you want a 1000w (it's cheaper as well), though with these specs you can probably get by with an 850w instead.

I would recommend a 3070Ti instead. You can get it for much cheaper, and you could go for a better motherboard too. I also recommended an extra case fan for the back of the case. Also the CAS latency on the DDR5 RAM is pretty horrible. I would recommend going for DDR4 instead.

no the 12700K is pretty much the best CPU out there for price/performance on the higher end for gaming, no point getting an i9 at all unless you’re a content creator
