Does it occur in safe mode?

Have you scanned for any viruses?

Freshly installed Windows.

Still happens.

You could have explained better what "lock up" means (freeze, black screen,  restart?, etc)

Anyways. Try updating the BIOS!

When its done dont change anything,  if it asks to load "default optimized settings" say > Yes.

Then let it load windows and see if its fixed.

The PC gets locked up.. like if you press WIN+L..

BIOS update didn't work.

SOLUTION:

PSU..

PC is fine now, zero locks or issues.

Thanks all!

Hi guys.

I’m having a problem with my pc.
It randomly locks itself with me promoting it.

tried to reinstall windows.

tried taking all Ram out and check with one stick.

tried to unplug all usb devices but mouse and keyboard.

went thorough several Microsoft topics and solutions but with no success on my side.

Pc spec:

Gigabyte Vision RTX 3060
MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon MAX WIFI
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 6 cores / 12 threads / 3.6GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo)
Cooler Master MWE / 650W / Modular / 80+ Gold
Corsair Vengeance  32GB (4x8GB) / 3200MHz / DDR4

what can cause this issue?

How long is it set for your display to turn off? I'd also check your screen saver settings and see if the box is checked for "On resume, display logon screen". Since you have a pro version of windows, you could also look into group policy settings regarding lock screens but I'd do that last.

Does your screen lock after specific time frames or is it actually locking you out randomly/in the middle of actively using the PC?

Tried them all, did not resolve the issue.

And no, complete random times, both games and internet surfing.

Are you able to find any patterns with it locking up? What are you doing when it locks up?

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

In his video titled "I Visited Apple's Secret iPhone Testing Labs!", he has shown that he makes no effort to fact check Apple's claims, and takes it at face value. I do not believe he can be trusted as an Reviewer/Influencer.

You could have explained better what "lock up" means (freeze, black screen,  restart?, etc)

Anyways. Try updating the BIOS!

When its done dont change anything,  if it asks to load "default optimized settings" say > Yes.

Then let it load windows and see if its fixed.
