I am building my rig very soon and i am stuck at a crossroads

I will be gaming at 1080p for now but may dabble into 1440p later

I am Playing games and Twitch streaming maybe get into youtube gameplay videos and video editing if i enjoy the streaming (hobby not a jobby)

where i am stuck is the age old question of

i5 4670k & GTX 780ti

or

i7 4770k & Gtx 780

i dont have budget to get the 4770k and the 780ti

the other parts are nailed down and i don't really need to shuffle them around

Personally i'd go for the i7 and 780.. But my answer is slightly biased. Since i am going to upgrade to a 780 and i've already got a 3770k

But that's because i plan on watercooling my rig and adding a second 780 in the future.

So i don't have to upgrade too soon.

I7 and 780ti

Except that is clearly not a stated option.

I say go for the i5 - 780Ti option, if video editing is not going to happen an awful lot.

That's where my thoughts were if I'm not going to edit too much I wouldn't mind wait it's the extra time it takes the i5 to do its magic

I know. I know. It's almost 100 Pounds over the budget. BUT it has an i7 a 780Ti and 1440p IPS monitor.

If you can't just can't afford this i could cut some corners without affecting the power of the PC a lot. However would just go for this.

Have you considered an aftermarket 290x (or even overclocked 290), since they are closer in price to a 780, but performs between the 780 and 780ti. At least where I live they have a more compelling price/performance ratio. Obviously this wouldn't be the case if you were American (which I assume you aren't since your profile says you're from the UK).

Get one of those with a 4770k. Best of both worlds if you ask me.
