Hey!
So i'm not sure if this is in the right place tbh, but i thought i might as well ask!

I have a 750W PSU, (modular) but im not 100% the manufactor (Like i can easily check by opening the case, i just can't do that right now). So i am just wondering where the best place would be to get cables for my PSU?
I want to add a few (yes, there is space on the PSU) i am looking to add an 8-pin connector for a GPU.

Any help would be awesome, thanks ❤️

Sorry - those are only extensions NOT additional PCIe cables. What the OP is looking for are PSU to PCIe cables.

Most manufacturers will sell you additional or replacement cables but you might be better off trying a local system builder to see if they have any lying around. I've purchased additional Type 4 PCIe cables from Corsair but you need to know the exact Make & Model of Power Supply.

Many vendors source their Power Supplies from the 3-4 companies that actually make them and take whatever pin-out at the PSU the manufacturer presents so a 650W Brand-X model may have different pin-outs than their 750W Brand-X model.

i know that but they dont know what bran the psu is so thats the only option without them pulling apart the psu because there is no labeling on it as they said

They didn't say there's no labeling. They just can't see it right now.

@JayTechTipsCheck which brand and model PSU you have, and then we can find replacement cables. Model matters. Corsair has 4 different types of cables, Seasonic has a few. Don't count on Corsair just working with Corsair. A lot of them are similar, but different enough to cause issues.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

The company that made the PSU. Only. The issue with cables on modular PSUs is in atx the PSU cables are part of the PSU and as such there is no standardization.  If you have a modular PSU with cables you’re not using, save them.  They’re part of the box even if they’re not attached to it. You can buy different cables and they may even fit the connectors but that DOES NOT mean they are the same.  It’s like replacing an engine in a car.  The new one will never be as good.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
