Hello, this may be a stupid question to some but I was thinking of getting a monitor that has a DisplayPort 1.2 port and a RX 6600. However I realised that the rx 6600 has a DisplayPort 1.4 and I was wondering if the monitor would be able to run on that GPU with a 1.2 cable? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes it should work.
Most of those things are backwards compatible.
