well currently some of my cores are higher temps than the others, so was thinking about a remount, just wasnt sure how much i should change..
Is it normal for some cores to be like 65, while others are like 85?

All aios should be intake.

Yes its normal If you have a high core count CPU

Are you happy with the temps? if so, prolly no point in switching. however, ya could always try front mounting it and see how you like it and if it effects temps at all

All AIO's do not have to be intake at all. I have a stock 3090FE and there was no real difference in my 5800x's temps between intake at the front or exhaust out the top with my 360 AIO. A few c isn't ground breaking.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

from what ive read up, as an intake, ur cpu is a little cooler but other components are hotter, and Visa versa.
Either way, since this AIO waterblock head has a led display, and its all rgb, theres alot of wires im gunna have to deal with in the process of changing things. idk if its worth it atm.

That's the theory. There is a difference between that and real world.

Ur CPU is only 105w tdp. So ur overkilling it anyways.

Both bitwit and casebycase has testet intake to be king. I look forward to ur testing 👌

Ok bud. I'll get right on that.

Not so sure about the sarcasm there but,

All you need is some ok testing medthods, and show the numbers. And If the nummers are clear, they should be shared.

If there were nummers for the other way around i would point in that direction 😉

Lets say person X goes to the forum and" say i have 85c, should i be worried? "

Some ppl say No. Some say yes. I say atleast put ur aio fans as intake, the hot days in the summer are yet to come.

My testing is simply experience since 2009 when I purchased one of the first AIO's in the Corsair H50. Since then I've built many systems for my self and others and have put AIO's in all sorts of configurations under all sorts of benchmark an real world scenarios.

All I can say is I have not seen an appreciable difference one way or the other. Simple as that. And because of that, i will continue to assure people not to worry about it.. as many others do that don't just repeat what a youtuber said.

@JimmyBlaizefeel free to do whatever you please. What DOES matter is ensuring your pump is below the highest point of the radiator.
