Overall low game performance

First I'm sorry if this is the wrong spot, I wasn't completely sure if it was. I'm having some issues with a number of games. From everything indie to AAA games. Ive been having issues with Icarus, the Yakuza games especially like a dragon, Even smaller games that should have issues like Core Keeper. Ive got a 3900X and 3070Ti, (parts list: pcpartpicker . com/list/c3CVqp) I've been running things on medium mostly, I was able to run them on medium with my 2060 Ventus. My monitor is a 2560 X 1440, no parts were changed aside from the gpu. Ive run tests in 3DMark and place about 10% over average for a 3070Ti.

Is this about what I should be expecting for playing games or is something messed up somewhere?

When you changed graphic card, have you used DDU to uninstall the old drivers then installed new ones?

Both were Nivida cards and I had Geforce experience do a clean install of driver. So there shouldn't be an old driver installed

Those are not games with high system requirements, it might just be your system not clocking the GPU to the needed clocks.

That seems to have gotten a decent increase, something like ~20 fps or around 20% the game of choice for testing was running at ~90 odd percent. I also got a similar increase by moving one of the problem games to another drive, so I suspect that drive might be failing. After thinking about this, that drive is at least 7 years old so probably make it only low impact games no sensitive data or anything irreplaceable either
