So I want to buy a used pc to play competitive (warzone,Fortnite) and open world games at 1080p 144hz.

1st set: 600$

Core i7-8700

RAM 16.0 GB 1 stick 2666hz

GRAPHICS CARD - 1660 TI

1TB HDD

256 GB SSD

Mobo boistar b360mhd pro2

Case xigmatic prosper

Power supply 600w (he doesn't know the brand)

2nd set 750$

Core I5-10400

RAM 2X 8 GB stick 3200hz (I know the Mobo and CPU will cap at 2666hz)

GRAPHICS CARD - 2060

2TB HDD

120 GB SSD

Msi b460 mortar wifi

Case cougar panzer g

Power supply 600w

Water cooling xigmatic aurora 240 (hate water cooling)

What do you think guys? The main advantage of the 750$ is the dual channel and 2060 vs 1660ti. But is it worth the extra 150$?

Budget (including currency): 600-750

Country: lebanon

The cost increase is pretty much justified, not to mention you also have a better upgrade path with the B460 motherboard for something like a 10 core CPU if you absolutely needed it.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

im not sure either one of those is going to be a solid 144hz machine going forward. you might have to dip the resolution quite low to hit that. the second machine seems ok for the price , the 128gb ssd will fill up fast

I agree, however I will buy a new system with i5 12th gen and 3060 once GPU prices are back to normal.hopefully next year. Im aiming to 100+,after 100 I can't differentiate. Also I will sell the 120 ssd and 2tb HDD and buy a new 500 gb ssd

12th gen will require a new motherboard.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

If you're going to buy a whole new system later on, saving money now is better
